Streamline Error Corrections
Between imports, manual data entry of information, and constantly changing data, error correction has become a critical issue in the Travel industry. Agents make small mistakes in the raw information of the GDS and these errors flow through to the back-office, leaving a significant chore for staff to search, find and make the necessary corrections. In many TMCs, manual error correction consumes multiple days per week of staff time, yet contributes little to the bottom line.
Of course, these omissions or errors do need to be tagged and corrected prior to their inclusion in reporting and business intelligence systems; however the practice doesn’t need to be so inefficient. CentralCommand streamlines this process, catching errors at the time of import or entry.
Data Validation
With CentralCommand, you can create Validation Rules that automatically catch errors as they are imported or entered into the system. For example, you can specify the expected format of a particular piece of information (e.g. a number of a certain length, a code with a specific alphanumeric format, etc.). CentralCommand continuously monitors for data that does not conform to the rule.
These errors are then highlighted so finance staff can make the corrections quickly and easily in a single screen that is dynamically updated and provides in-line editing.
