Exploring Agresso Business World: Route 66

Why a "Journey"?

Because Route 66 is much more than the “stepping-stone” approach of traditional software roadmaps, where infrequent “big bang” releases can make product advances feel both disjointed and overwhelming. Instead, this new release of Agresso Business World will enable customers to map out their own end-to-end journey to transform their ERP experience, choosing the advances to suit their business needs and going at their own pace.

The Agresso Business World: Route 66 release gets that journey off to a flying start and then steady progress will be delivered through a series of more frequent, focused steps forward, in the shape of:

  • “Route 66 Milestones” – ongoing service packs and minor updates.
  • “Route 66 Experience Packs” – exciting new developments, each focused on the needs of specific types of users, (e.g. "Employees" and "Managers"), and opening up new choices and directions for customers to advance their Agresso Business World solution.

Why "Independence"?

Because it will be entirely up to each customer to choose the ways forward that best suit their internal resources and business needs. You decide:

  • when to join the Route 66 journey
  • which parts of the solution to move on
  • how fast you want to go
  • what deployment “vehicle” to use at each stage – from On-premise, to Cloud or Hybrid…and back again, whenever you like.

Why "Route 66"?

Because we felt it deserved a suitably iconic journey name, to express how significant, exciting and unmissable the coming years will be for us and our customers. Field Force has now extended its reach in two ways: delivering self-service capability for technicians; and also including self-service for internal customers.
The Procurement Experience
Now you can deploy almost the entire purchase-to-pay process through Self Service. Plus: there’s a new, easy product search for occasional users of the process.
The Common & Reporting Experience
An extended Common module enables workflow-driven Master File Approval, and adds many of the key registers to Self Service. Reporting delivers an improved user experience in Information Pages.
