In most agencies today, everything from Management, Business group or Bank reporting is completed manually. Typically, these reports are created using Excel and have more than one person dedicated to producing these reports. For example, an agency may have a staff member who runs a series of reports and distributes them to other staff members who in turn update payroll and expenses using their own bespoke Access templates. Next, that data must be typed into Excel or copied from the Access screens to create a complex set of Management reports. It is a time-consuming, labor intensive process and is prone to error.
With CentralCommand, most of these reports can be run automatically, using data that has already been entered through the normal course of doing business. Templates can be created defining what information is to be included, how it should look and in what format (PDF files, Excel, etc.). Interval reporting becomes a simple matter - the relevant data for the time period is automatically pulled into the report template. Reports can be distributed by email and posted to the CentralCommand self-service web site. With all the manual intervention eliminated, employees are freed up to focus on more value-added work that contributes the agency’s bottom line. Management also gets the information they need faster to make better decisions and can be confident in the accuracy of the data.
